Educational outreach & Programming

The arts are a fantastic way to engage children and young adults in a positive and interactive way. Professional level dancers will perform for and interact with students, showing them the ways in which art can truly make a difference in the world. Programs encourage individuality, kindness, empathy toward others, confidence, and a positive relationship with our bodies. The focus of each event can be tailored to the needs of your school or group depending on age, experience, and desired lesson.

The Francesca Harper Project Educational Outreach Program provides an opportunity to bring young students together to learn about dance, performance, and how identity, honesty, and personal experience can create the most profound artistry. Programming can be tailored to the needs of your school or group. A program can include:

Introduction and Talk by Artistic Director Francesca Harper*
Viewing of Archival Footage
Performance Excerpt by Artists of The Francesca Harper Project
Group Movement Activity
Q&A with the Artists

*Booking is based on the availability of the Artistic Director. Talks can also be hosted by FHP Artists, including but not limited to the Rehearsal Director and/or Company Manager.
